Leduc to Millet Waterline
Project Location: City of Leduc to the Town of Millet, Alberta
SolidEarth completed a subsurface investigation for a 28 km water line from the City of Leduc to the Town of Millet. The project was initiated by the Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission to provide the Town of Millet with a supply of treated water. The alignment of the water line followed existing township and range roads, and included a section which crossed Telford Lake.
Engineering evaluation included an assessment of the subsurface conditions, and geotechnical engineering evaluation and recommendations for open cut and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) installation method, as well as considerations for Telford Lake crossing.
Engineering evaluation included an assessment of subsurface conditions and geotechnical evaluation and recommendations associated with site grading, management of heterogeneous fill and buried topsoil/organics, installation of underground utilities, and foundations for the various structures.
