SolidEarth Geotechnical provides a wide range of materials engineering and testing services in support of construction projects. We provide construction monitoring, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), as-built data review, documentation, and turnover packages. We service owners, consultants, and contractors during the project construction phases.
We have significant expertise in:
Foundation Installation Monitoring
Installation monitoring and QA/QC review of driven steel piles, helical steel piles (screw piles), cast-in-place concrete piles, expanded base piles (Franki or Compacto piles), and CFA piles.
Static and Dynamic Pile Load Testing
Design and data interpretation of static pile loading and PDA programs, and capacities versus settlement modeling.
Earthwork and Infrastructure Developments
Inspection of subgrade preparation and stabilization, engineered fill placement monitoring and compaction testing, HDD installation monitoring, and loss of ground verification.
Concrete Testing
Field sampling; air content and slump testing; field preparation of cylinders, beams, and cubes; compressive and flexural strength testing; and non-destructive strength testing.
Asphalt Testing
Marshall and Superpave gyratory compactor properties, AT EPS Standards, mix design, and FWD and GPR testing.
Laboratory Testing
Concrete compressive and flexural strength, soil and gravel grain size distribution analysis, moisture-density relationship, plasticity limits, unconfined and tri-axial strength of undisturbed soil samples, consolidation, and permeability properties.
