City of Spruce Grove Jubilee Park

SolidEarth was retained by the City of Spruce Grove in 2016 to complete a geotechnical investigation for new developments within the existing Jubilee Park.  These developments were proposed following a study to determine strengths and weaknesses of the existing facility, and they consisted of constructing a Parks Building, Spray Park, and a Multi-Purpose building.  The buildings had approximate footprints of 900 and 400 sq. m., respectively.  The Spray Park was a concrete grade supported slab area with an approximate footprint of 1000 sq. m.

Engineering evaluation included an assessment of subsurface conditions and geotechnical evaluation and recommendations associated with site grading, management of heterogeneous fill and buried topsoil/organics, installation of underground utilities, and foundations for the various structures.
